The District Board Chairperson shall ensure that the President/District Director and Assistant to the President and District Board assist each new member-elect in understanding the District Board’s functions, policies, and procedures. The following suggested methods shall be employed.

  • The new District Board member shall be given material relating to technical education, the College, and the Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association.

  • The new District Board member shall be invited to attend District Board meetings and participate in discussions before being seated.

  • The President/District Director and/or Assistant to the President and District Board shall explain to the new District Board member how to use material pertinent to District Board meetings.

  • The new District Board member shall be invited to meet with the President/District Director for a tour of the College and discussion.

  • The Assistant to the President and District Board shall provide the new District Board member with information on accessing electronic college policies and a copy of the Wisconsin Statutes relating to technical education.
