Social media is an important tool for positioning and marketing the College. Its purpose is to help amplify the College’s brand and reputation and to inform, engage, and foster an online community of various college constituents, including students, staff, faculty, alumni, and industry partners.
The College’s official social media accounts – including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube – are managed by the College’s Marketing and Communications Team. All content posted on these platforms must be public information that reflects the brand, mission, vision and values of the College. Content also must adhere to college policies and federal and state laws and regulations, including Wisconsin Open Records Law.
Employees’ and Students’ personal or professional accounts that include content about the College must comply with applicable college policies and procedures governing Employee behavior, intellectual property, and acceptable use of electronic and information resources.
Social media content that is created for the College, used to conduct college business, used to maintain contact with college customers, and/or used to represent college products or services belongs to the College.

Social Media – Refers to all platforms or services that allow users to publicly generate or share digital content.
