The District Board is committed to assessing its performance to identify its strengths and areas for improvement.
To that end, the District Board has established the following processes:
The District Board shall determine the instrument or process to be used in District Board self-evaluation by the annual District Board retreat. Evaluation instruments shall incorporate criteria contained in these college policies regarding District Board operations and criteria defining District Board effectiveness promulgated by recognized practitioners in the field.
The process for evaluation shall be recommended to and approved by the District Board.
If an instrument is used, all District Board members will be asked to complete the evaluation instrument and submit it to the District Board Secretary.
A summary of the evaluations will be presented and discussed at the annual District Board retreat. The results will be used to identify accomplishments in the past year and goals for the following year.
