Coordination and Partnership Development

Faculty expertise is critical to the development of transfer pathways; however, partnership negotiation and agreement development will occur through the University Center in collaboration with Academic Affairs.

 

  1. Central Coordination Requirement
    Employees must coordinate with the University Center through the Transfer Coordinator before initiating discussions with external baccalaureate institutions regarding transfer pathways, including, but not limited to, articulation agreements and/or program‑to‑program partnerships.

 

  1. Role of the University Center
    The University Center serves as the centralized point of coordination for:
    • Evaluating institutional fit and Student demand.
    • Confirming existing partnership status and tier designation.
    • Ensuring alignment with College strategy and existing agreements.
    • Preventing duplicative or conflicting agreements.
    • Analyzing transfer student data and assessing the effectiveness of the partnership.

 

  1. Faculty Role in Agreement Development and Ongoing Review
    Faculty contributions will include:
    • Curriculum alignment and course equivalency review; Ongoing review of curriculum updates and impact on transfer pathways.
    • Identification of sequencing or prerequisite considerations.
    • Participation in joint academic discussions with partner institutions and development of relationships with partner institution faculty.
    • Promote the transfer pathways to Students.
    • Review the effectiveness of transfer pathways.

 

  1. Approval and Documentation
    All transfer agreements, memoranda of understanding, and partnership commitments must be reviewed and approved through the University Center and executed in accordance with College policy and administrative authority.
