The College supports the scholarly endeavors of its Students and Employees and participation in outside research projects that benefit Students or the College. In conducting such Research, the College must ensure that the rights and welfare of Human Subjects are protected, that risks have been considered and minimized, and that Research is conducted ethically and in compliance with established standards.

 

This Policy applies to all Research utilizing Students, Employees, College Resources, or data not conducted directly by the College or an authorized agent for internal decision-making/institutional effectiveness. All Research must be submitted for review, in the form of a completed Proposal to Conduct Research Application, to the IRB and the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) before being conducted. Any Research with approval must not change methodology without resubmitting the research proposal to the OIRE.
